Hip Problems Affect Men

The most common hip problems encountered by men are osteoarthritis, polymyalgia rheumatic, trochanteric bursitis and osteonecrosis, medical researchers say. They say that about 20-25 percent of hip fractures occur in men. FDA approves Ceramic-on-Metal Total Hip Replacement System

Orthopedic surgeons and their patients now have several options to choose from after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved last June the first ceramic-on-metal total hip replacement system for patients suffering from osteoarthritis.
